Insights with BrandWizard: Vol. 1

In this "Insights with BrandWizard" series, we're thrilled to spotlight the people who make BrandWizard the powerhouse it is—creating tools that unlock the full potential of local SEO and local marketing for businesses worldwide. For the first edition, we sat down with Kseniya Zoryna, one of our Key Account Managers, to discuss her journey at BrandWizard, her thoughts on local SEO, and a bit about what keeps her energized both in and outside of work. Let's dive into her story!

What has your journey at BrandWizard been like?

Despite what some might say, higher education plays an important role in shaping your career. I studied Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures, and being in a creative environment at my faculty, I met a lot of great people. One day, a friend who knew I was job hunting reached out with an interesting opportunity at BrandWizard, and I decided to give it a shot.

How long have you been with BrandWizard, and what has your journey here been like?

I've been with the company for a year and four months now. As a joke, I often call my job a roller coaster—because, like a roller coaster, it has its ups and downs. Working in a constantly changing environment like online presence management requires handling a lot of information, staying on top of trends, and interacting with many people. But I love it! I find the challenges fascinating, and the office coffee keeps me energized all day long.

What piece of advice would you give to businesses dealing with local SEO and local marketing?

Remember, with local SEO and marketing, you can't just focus on one thing and expect magic to happen. If you notice you're struggling in some areas, it’s probably a good idea to reach out to experts. This will save you time and help you start seeing results in as little as six months.

What are some common misconceptions about marketing for multi-location businesses?

One common misconception is that SEO isn't a crucial part of a digital marketing strategy. When potential customers search online for products, they're more likely to click on the first link they see on the search results page. So, believe it or not, local SEO remains a vital part of driving sales.

Another misconception is that successful marketing campaigns lead to immediate results. While everyone hopes for a quick return on their investment, patience is essential. Marketing is a long-term effort, and it can take months to see significant gains.

While certain tools, like paid ads, can deliver quick, short-term wins, they can also lose their effectiveness over time. Sustainable growth, on the other hand, comes from focusing on building brand awareness and customer loyalty. Keep that in mind.

What do you like and dislike most about being Key Account Manager?

I really enjoy the chance to communicate and build strong relationships with clients. It’s rewarding to understand their needs and help them achieve their goals. On the flip side, after intense interactions or negotiations, I sometimes need to recharge, as they can be quite demanding. Balancing my love for communication with the need for downtime is key to staying effective in the role. But overall, what I cherish most are the connections I make and the positive impact I have on my clients.
With part of the BrandWizard team

If working at BrandWizard were like a movie, which one would it be and why?

For me watching a Scooby-Doo movie feels like working at BrandWizard. Just like the Mystery Inc. crew, team members bring their unique strengths to the table—whether it’s Shaggy’s unyielding appetite for snacks or Velma’s sharp intellect.

As the plot unfolds, the team faces various challenges, much like navigating project deadlines and unexpected obstacles in the workplace. The thrill of unraveling mysteries parallels the excitement of brainstorming sessions, where ideas flow freely and innovative solutions emerge. And the humor displayed by the characters remind me of the importance of maintaining a positive work environment, even when things get tough.

How do you unwind from work?

After a busy day, a good yoga session helps me relax, clear my mind, and reconnect with myself. I also enjoy creating content for my microblog on Instagram. Whether it’s sharing hidden gems in my city, photos of my friends, or just moments from my day, it's a creative outlet that brings me joy and helps me disconnect from my work routine. Keeping this balance really helps me recharge!
